Spanish verbs. Have you or your students ever seen tutorials that require you to respond to, says, 20 items on a test, then submit your answers only when all items are complete? It's not the ideal way to learn languages or anything else. This sample shows how you can embed a cloze passage directly into a web page in a way that delivers immediate, error-specific feedback item-per-item. You don't have to submit forms to a server, you don't have to answer items in any particular order, and you can correct your responses on the spot. Or you can skip items and come back to the later. You can even click on items in the word bank to do an online word search if you need extra help.

U.S. Presidents Quiz. This Revlet demonstrates how you can incorporate a multiple-choice, multimedia test into web-based instructional materials. To view the demo, click on the START button below to initialize the test. Simply click on a line in the answer field on the bottom of each question display. The field on the right hand side of each display lists all questions in the test and their status, i.e., whether a question is pending or has been answered already. This sample includes both audio and video questions. View a screenshot here.

Dutch Masters. If you need a fast and functional program for displaying high-resolution images, check out this sample. It illustrates how we can build a virtual gallery or e-portfolio for your classes or textbook, or for your personal artwork. Click on any of the images to enter the gallery. Once you are there, you can drag the thumbnail bar left and right to navigate. The slider allows you to enlarge images. To move images around, simply grab them with the mouse. The text button at the bottom of the display opens a small caption. You can use the text-to-speech button to hear captions read aloud. It's the perfect solution for ancillary software for art appreciation or humanities courses.

Expresión. This experimental program is a Spanish-language tutorial that operates on natural language processing technology. The exercise in this Revlet is a combination of a dictation and an open-ended writing activity. When you're ready to start, you initialize the exercise. Then you simply click on one of the numerals you see on the left side of the next window that opens, and listen to a sentence in Spanish. Listen as many times as you like. When you're ready, type what you hear in the field near the bottom right of the Revlet, and press return. The software parses your input and flags any errors it finds.

Irregular verbs in English. This is a sample tutorial for speakers of English as a Second Language.
